What are the active ingredients in your disinfectants and cleaners?

Our hospital-grade products are powered by Microtol, an award-winning, patented surfactant-modified biocide designed for broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity. It is pH neutral and greater than 90% biodegradable within 72 hours.

What pathogens do your disinfectants kill?

There is no known microbial resistance to Microtol.
Microtol is effective against bacteria, viruses, fungi, molds, and spores, including enveloped and non-enveloped viruses, at a 0.2% concentration with a one-minute contact time. Our active ingredient, Microtol, has been tested against various pathogens, including MRSA, C. difficile spores, influenza, Pseudomonas, and SARS-CoV-2.
Our solutions help reduce Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAIs). They are ideal for operating theatres, wards, and ICUs, ensuring clinics, ambulances, and field operations meet stringent hygiene standards for patient safety and staff confidence. Lab test data and efficacy claims are available upon request.

Can your products be used in oncology and sterile units?

Yes. Our hospital-grade formulations are non-corrosive, low-residue, and compatible with medical equipment and sterile environments, including oncology recovery areas and surfaces exposed to radiation-treated patients. We also offer formulations appropriate for oncology recovery areas and surfaces exposed to radiation-treated patients.

Do you offer ready-to-use or concentrated options for healthcare environments?

Both. We supply concentrates for cost-effective, high-volume use, as well as ready-to-use products for sensitive areas like operating rooms, ICUs, and outpatient clinics.

Do you provide training and protocols for safe chemical handling in hospitals?

Yes. We offer onsite or virtual training, SDS documentation, and proper dilution protocols. Our team supports clients with customised cleaning Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for compliance and staff safety.

How does Microtol compare to other disinfectants in terms of speed and efficacy?

Unlike many traditional disinfectants, Microtol requires no pre-activation, is non-corrosive, and is safe for sensitive medical equipment, offering superior speed and safety while meeting stringent hygiene standards.

Can G-cide be used in automated endoscope reprocessors (AERs)?

Yes. G-cide is validated for AER machines and approved for endoscopic use, including Olympus scopes. It sterilises in 30 minutes at temperatures above 40°C and can be used in sterilising trays for up to 28 days, ensuring compliance with medical hygiene protocols.

Is Microtol safe for frequent hand washing by healthcare staff?

Yes. Our Microtol Hand Care range, powered by G-cide, includes skin softeners like aloe vera oil and glycerine, balancing effective disinfection with a gentle wash experience to support frequent hand washing without compromising skin health or hygiene protocols.

What measures ensure Microtol’s compliance with international medical standards?

Microtol adheres to national and international health regulations, with certifications including Bureau Veritas (EN1276, EN1650), UK BABBS for sporicidal and drug-resistant TB, and EN14476:2019 virucidal testing by Brill Laboratories. It’s also Olympus Keymed-approved and validated for AER machines, supporting accreditation and compliance.
